The Forrest Public Reserves Committee is responsible for the management of the Forrest Public Hall and Community Hub.
The Forrest Public Hall and Community Hub is run by a volunteer committee and is available for hire for meetings and social gatherings.
In Forrest, it’s safest to plan a party or get-together under cover. Luckily, the town boasts some great all-weather venues for hire at very reasonable rates.
The Forrest Public Hall at 14 Grant Street is a cosy hall with timber floors in a garden setting and includes a commercial kitchen, air conditioning/heating, accessible amenities and audio-visual equipment. Combining old-fashioned charm and modern conveniences, the hall is perfect for larger gatherings, parties, weddings, funerals, public meetings and workshops. The hall accommodates up to 150 people seated indoors, with a large undercover deck and plenty of outdoor space for markets, marquees and events.
The Grasstree building at 47 Grant Street is a meeting room and amenities building with a basic kitchen, air conditioning/heating, showers, accessible bathrooms and undercover deck, also in a garden setting. Situated at the Community Hub and next to the Neighbourhood House, the Grasstree building is ideal for smaller workshops, meetings and gatherings up to 50 people.
Both venues have access for people with limited mobility and tables and chairs are supplied.
For more information, see the venue booking form. Both venues are managed by local volunteers on the Forrest Public Reserves Committee (FPRC), for the benefit of the community.
